Keeping Track Of Bay Area Restaurant Reopenings, By County

Last week, California replaced its watch list and Stage 1-4 reopening system with a new one: a color-coded risk level assessment for every county. Indoor and outdoor businesses that are allowed to reopen depend on each county’s risk level, which is now classified as “widespread” (purple), “substantial” (red), “moderate” (orange), or “minimal” (yellow). San Francisco and Napa are the only two counties that are currently classified as “substantial” risk. The rest of the Bay Area counties - and much of California - are at “widespread” risk. The state plans to update each county’s risk level every Tuesday. So, what does this all mean for restaurants? Purple counties can only offer outdoor dining, while red counties, like San Francisco and Napa, can open for indoor dining at 25% capacity, or 100 people, whichever is fewer. (If you’re looking for a more detailed rundown of what all the colors mean, check out this PDF .) Napa County plans to reopen for indoor dining ( again ), while San

Tony’s Chocolonely Marches for Democracy in Washington

Tony ’s Chocolonely, a popular chocolate company, rolled their famous Chocotruck by the March on Washington to register voters for the 2020 national elections. In partnership with both Headcount , a non-partisan, non-profit organization that promotes participation in democracy, and Favored Nations , a non-profit organization co-founded by Noah Centineo and Josh Heller, Tony ’s encouraged all marchers and attendees to register for this year’s upcoming election. Tony ’s Chocotruck was parked along the march route to serve as a registration hub while providing chocolate, JUST water cartons, and Favored Nations merchandise to marchers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g_PWx-Q6TQ&feature=youtu.be “While encouraging people to check th

Try these Deluxe Tuna Melts quickly broiled in the oven for a quick and easy lunch. I like to think of this recipe as a really good one for lunch, and it makes for a super easy dinner too. Deluxe Tuna Melts are delicious with a little side salad and your favorite beverage. I’d choose chardonnay or ice cold lemonade. One open-faced slice makes one serving, but if you’re really hungry then you might gobble up two. How to make Deluxe Tuna Melts: It’s so easy to make these tuna melts. You’ll need a large can of tuna. That tuna is squeezed dry and added to mayonnaise, celery, parsley, sweet pickle relish and lemon juice. The tuna mixture is spread onto four slices of sourdough bread. Shredded cheddar cheese is sprinkled on top. And then the tuna and cheese topped slices are heated under the oven broiler until toasty. That’s it! Types of canned tuna: There are many kinds of canned tuna, but the most common varieties are white tuna or light tuna. White tuna is albacore with a firm te
